A successful Sebring shakedown for Veloqx Prodrive Racing.

The final shakedown test took place today for the Veloqx Prodrive Racing team before the two scarlet Ferrari 550 Maranello GTS cars are shipped off to the United States for the 12 Hours of Sebring event.

A sub-zero, but dry and sunny, Snetterton circuit in Norfolk, England played host to the team who had five of its six drivers present for the test. Only Dutchman Peter Kox was unable to attend.

Both cars ran without problem for the entire day and tribute was paid by team bosses to the technical personnel who had prepared the cars to such a high standard.

For Kelvin Burt, Anthony Davidson, Jamie Davies and Darren Turner, it was their first experience behind the wheel of the GTS class challenger and all were very happy with the outcome of the day.

After Czech Tomas Enge had carried out installation laps on both cars, the four newcomers were able to complete both short and longer distance runs during which time they were able to familiarise themselves with the technical aspects of the car, fine-tune their comfort behind the wheel, and get to know the team and each other better. All expressed pleasure in the car's handling, speed and drivability.

Further details on the team's specific plans for Sebring, including driver pairings, will be announced in two weeks time.
