Promising Test for the 12 Hours of Sebring

On 23th to 25th january Pierre Ehret and his teammates Lars Nielsen and Dominik Farnbacher tested at the Sebring International Raceway for the 54th annual of the 12 hours race on 15th to 18th march 2006.

Due to a delivering problem of the new Michelin tyres, the team meanwhile drove on used Dunlop tyres and later on found an appropriate solution by choosing rubbers of Yokohama.

"Though it was a test for Yokohama too, we receive different kind of tire-mixtures. This is the reason for the differing lap-times. At last we are very grateful for the big support of Yokohama and we would like to use the opportunity to say thank you", explaned Pierre Ehret.

Lars Nielsen starting the first time on the 3,6 miles long circuit, showed a firm performance with constant lap-times. Dominik Farnbacher was the quickest of the team.

Generally considered, the other teams set better times, which mainly is a result of a soft tyre choice whereas the team of Pierre Ehret tested different kind of tyres. All told lap-times of the testing period have to be taken with a pinch of salt. Pierre Ehret explaned: "Our opponents surely won't use soft tires in the decisive qualifying since this tire choice must be driven in race too."
