Pfaff Motorsport announces their sponsorship of Jeff Pabst and Team Seikel for the August 18, 2002 running of the American Le Mans Series (ALMS) at Mosport Park.

NEWMARKET & WOODBRIDGE, ONTARIO - August 8, 2002 - Pfaff Motorsports (affiliated with Pfaff Motors in Newmarket and Pfaff Porsche in Woodbridge), along with the National Post, is pleased to announce that Schomberg, Ontario's Jeff Pabst will be competing in the American Le Mans Series event at Mosport Park, August 16-18 driving for Team Seikel of Germany, with co-drivers Tony Burgess and Hugh Plumb. Driving a Porsche GT3RS, the trio aims to take the checkered flag first in the GT division of the 2hr, 45-minute event. Watch for them at the track or on NBC Sports Live at 2:00pm EST on August 18th.

Pfaff has been involved in motorsport, in one form or another, since its formation in 1964. Over the years, Pfaff Motors has sponsored many drivers including Scott Goodyear in the Porsche Turbo Cup Series, Scott Maxwell, David Tennyson, and Paul Tracy. Pfaff has also been an ongoing sponsor of Jeff Pabst, most recently in both the 2001 ALMS and the 2001 Porsche Supercup, where he was the sole Canadian competitor.

Team Seikel is one of the foremost Porsche race teams competing in the GT class of the ALMS. Founded in 1968, and based in Germany, Seikel competes in both Europe and North America. In 2001, Team Seikel won the most sought after prize in sports car endurance racing, winning the GT class of the world famous 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Linked to this exciting race, Pfaff Motorsports is also pleased to announce that on both Monday, August 12th , Tuesday, August 13th , the Seikel #52 Porsche will be on display at Pfaff Porsche in Woodbridge (located at 101 Autopark Circle) between 8:00 am and 8:00 pm each day. And, on August 14th will be on display, along with the ALMS Joest Audi vehicles from the P900 class, at Pfaff Motors in Newmarket (located at 17065 Yonge Street) between 2:00 and 8:00pm. Everyone is welcome to come and view these powerful racing machines, and to speak to several of the drivers who will also be on-hand.
