Buffalo, NY (August 1, 2002) - Paul Fix currently racing in the Trans-Am series, will make his American Le Mans Series sports car racing debut at Le Grand Prix de Trois-Rivieres in Quebec this weekend. Paul will drive a Prototype in the LMP 675 class, with veteran racer Melanie Paterson of Toronto, Ontario, in a Lola B2K-Nissan fielded by Essex Racing of Atlanta.

As a regular season competitor in the Trans Am series, Paul recently earned his 3rd MSD Hard Charger award at the Cadillac Grand Prix of DC. Paul will also be running the #77 www.FitDV.com Jaguar XKR this weekend. Currently running 12th in Driver Championship Points, this weekend should boost him into the top 10, after finishing with 3 Top-10's this season.

"Its going to be a busy weekend, but the saving factor is that the races are on different days." "We have a strong team for both race cars and we should place well for both races," stated Paul Fix.

Le Grand Prix de Trois-Rivieres (Three Rivers) has been a popular and successful motorsports event for 33 years, making it one of North America's longest-running street racing events. Trois-Rivieres becomes a festival city for the annual Grand Prix, with many events going on in addition to what happens on the 1.52-mile (11 turns) street circuit. The American Le Mans Series will run a three-hour timed event beginning at 2:00 PM (EDT) on Saturday, Aug. 3rd LIVE on the Speed Channel.

The Trans-Am Series for the BFGoodrich Tires Cup, which has raced many times at Trois-Rivieres, will return after an absence of several years and will run a 100-mile race on Sunday, Aug. 4, at 2:25 p.m. LIVE on the Speed Channel.
