Braselton, GA - The Panoz Racing School is moving westward to Texas Motor Speedway in the Dallas/Fort Worth area at the beginning of next year. The school will offer its unique brand of racing school nationally as it continues to branch out from its Road Atlanta headquarters. Students will be able experience quality instruction on a new road course being constructed for the American Le Mans Series.
"This is another important step in our ability to offer students the opportunity to participate in the growing popularity of the Panoz Racing School," said Jeff Purner, Panoz Racing School Director. "Our current schools at Road Atlanta and Sebring are getting booked further in advance as every month passes which demonstrated to us the need for another venue for instruction. Texas Motor Speedway is a first-class facility which will allow us to introduce our method of instruction convenient to a new area of the country."
Driving instructors will continue to teach students the finer points of road racing in the school's popular Ford 5.0 liter V8-powered Panoz GT-RA, the development of which has led to the Women's Global GT Series spec racer and the Panoz GTS.
"Since my introduction to auto racing, it has become my goal to offer the racing enthusiast an opportunity to effectively get involved in the sport and step out from behind the sidelines through the Panoz Racing School programs," adds Don Panoz. "2001 is really going to be an exciting year for the school as we make more tracks available to students and introduce our Motorsports Vehicle Technology Program for training in the 'behind-the-scenes' areas of the sport."
