No. 31 Ferrari Unofficially Finishes Fourth in American Le Mans Series GT2 Event

BOWMANVILLE, Ont., Canada, August 27, 2007 - Petersen Motorsports/White Lightning Racing continues to await the posting of the official final results from yesterday's Grand Prix of Mosport. The No. 31 MMPIE/PAWS/Petersen Holdings/Michelin Ferrari F430 GT started third and has been provisionally listed as fourth; two laps down to the GT2 class winning Ferrari. However, those results have been officially protested by another GT2 class team. The protest centers around the race's second full course caution and confusion over the open-closed status of pit lane and the safety car picking-up the wrong overall leader of the race. The No. 31 driven by Peter Dumbreck (born in Scotland but living in Adderbury, England) and Dirk Muller (a native of Germany now living in Monaco) was second in class when the yellow flag flew. During the ensuing confusion the Michael Petersen (Las Vegas, Nev.) owned team fell to sixth according to IMSA Timing and Scoring.

While Team Manager/Entrant Dale White (Bozeman, MT) did not make an official protest he did make a statement to the International Motor Sports Association (IMSA) regarding the protest.

A final statement by Petersen Motorsports/White Lightning Racing will be made at the time of the official posting of results by IMSA which are expected to come Monday.

The two-time American Le Mans Series GT2 Driver and IMSA Cup Championship winning team (2005,2006) is currently traveling to Detroit, Mich. where they will participate in Saturday's Detroit Sports Car Challenge on the Belle Isle circuit.
