Bowmanville, Canada - British driver Johnny Mowlem piloting the number 63 ACEMCO Motorsports/Saleen S7-R takes us for a ride around the track at Mosport.

You cross the start/finish line in fourth gear short shift to fifth, then brake gently turning back onto half throttle just before the apex of turn one. The apex at one, drops away and you accelerate very hard, it is a very fast corner then you come right out onto the curb on the exit. Then you pull the car back over to the middle of the road and put it in fifth gear, brake relatively gently just as you are cresting the hill, then turn in and release the brake using about twenty-five percent of the throttle, you apex on the left of the downhill and let it run out wide. It gets a little flat through there then it curves left similar to a roller coaster ride, coming down the hill through the middle and then back up to the left before the exit.

Coming up to turn three you go down to fourth gear and push slightly on the brake pointing the car to the apex. Here you run the car as wide as possible on the exit.

Into turn four you hit that in fourth gear then fifth gear as you are coming in it drops away very straight (similar to turn two, but not as difficult) turn in and try to hit full throttle before you hit turn five-A, but it is very difficult to do. Here you try to hug the left, as much as possible, brake very hard then drop down to second gear for the sharp right turn of five-A. In five-B, we have slight understeer, I go right down the middle of five-B, very high here to get a good run down the very long back stretch. Here you go through all the gears, and you slightly weave left and right, left and right as you go through curves six, seven, and eight. It is actually the straight-away. You can get a lot of pick-up on your tires there so you have to follow the middle of the road line.

As you come up over the brow of the hill you have turn nine in front of you. Down shift to fifth gear for that, it is incredible fast on the way into it. Halfway to that point you hold the car to the right immediately after that - down on the brakes to fourth gear, there is concrete there causing the car to understeer. You drag the car to the left and down into third gear then you turn right for turn ten. You try to carry the car through this turn and end up in fourth gear to the finish line.

The number 63 ACEMCO Motorsports/Saleen S7-R turns a lap time of 1:15.355 and a speed of 117 mph in the hands of Mowlem.

Round six of the American Le Mans Series will be August 8th and televised live on CBS starting at 12:00 p.m. EST.
