Benicia, CA (August 2, 2010) - When Muscle Milk Team CytoSport takes to the track at Mid-Ohio this week (August 6 - 7), it will mark the one-year anniversary of the team's official debut with the Porsche RS Spyder in the American Le Mans Series presented by Tequila Patron.

Many good things have happened to the Muscle Milk squad since scoring their first podium with the Porsche RS Spyder at the 2.258-mile 13-turn road course.

It has gone on to place on the podium in all of the following ALMS races it has competed in for a total of nine consecutive top-three finishes.

Additionally, its podium success includes an unexpected first class win at the season opening 12 Hours of Sebring in March of this year and a first overall victory last weekend at Lime Rock Park.

The team's performances so far this season have placed them second in the LMP Championship standings with 100 points and its recent finish atop the podium moved them to within seven points of the leading Highcroft Racing team.

With only four races remaining in the 2010 season the championship battle is heating up and Muscle Milk Team CytoSport has one goal in mind heading to Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, to keep closing the gap to first place.

The CytoSport crew is not only carrying plenty of momentum into Round 6 on the ALMS schedule, it also has past success at the Ohio track to fall back on.

Thanks to a come from behind, phenomenal drive by Klaus Graf last season, the Muscle Milk squad placed second in the LMP2 class and fourth overall after starting from fourth in class and sixth overall. In 2007, it finished third in the P1 class in its series debut.

Team owner and driver Greg Pickett has also scored individual success at Mid-Ohio with a Trans-Am Series win back in the mid 80s and a podium finish in IMSA GTO in the late 80s.

Muscle Milk Team CytoSport will also be looking to the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Challenge to continue building its lead in the Michelin Green X Challenge standings.

The Benicia, CA-based crew became the first prototype team to win the Green Racing award twice this season when they took home the honors at Lime Rock Park.

The Mid-Ohio Sports Car Challenge goes green on Saturday, August 7 at 3:00 p.m. ET and will be broadcast on tape-delay on CBS Sports August 15, 2010 starting at 12:30 p.m. ET.

What they have to say:

Greg Pickett, Owner / Driver #6 Muscle Milk Porsche RS Spyder
"Going back to Mid-Ohio this year, means a lot because that's where it all started for us with our Porsche RS Spyder. It's where we scored our first podium since returning to the ALMS and we've had success ever since.

"When we started this last year, I never thought we would get nine straight podiums much less have two wins including one overall. It's just unbelievable for us. I know I keep saying it but I am so proud of this team and everything that we've accomplished so far.

"We had a strong race last season at Mid-Ohio and I think that the track there is another one that suits our car very well. So we're looking forward to another good weekend and hopefully we can keep our streak going."

Klaus Graf, Qualifying Driver #6 Muscle Milk Porsche RS Spyder
"I'm looking forward to going back to Mid-Ohio, that's where we started with the Porsche RS Spyder and we've been on the podium ever since. It's a beautiful racetrack. I think it's one of the premier sports car tracks in the United States.

"We had a really good race there last year battling with the Fernandez car. We have a really good rhythm going at the moment in the ALMS with a lot of races. I think it keeps everybody sharp plus as a team we have a lot of momentum right now coming off of our win at Lime Rock.

"It's also a split weekend with the IndyCar Series at Mid-Ohio so there certainly will be a big turn out in terms of fans and it should make for a really good sports car race on the Saturday. Mid-Ohio is a really traditional sports car area from a fan stand point so I can't wait to get there."
