Mid-Ohio Cool

May 20, 2005 -- Dyson Racing was third and fifth fastest in today's initial practice session here at Mid-Ohio. In cool, overcast conditions, the cars were not at their best. "We were fighting to get some temperatures in the tires," noted Chris Dyson. "We could not get the grip we needed and our times suffered. We're working hard to find a balance. It's still early days in our partnership with Michelin and I'm confident we can improve. This circuit is very challenging for a driver and one of the great American tracks. It is corner leading into corner so technically you have to be very sound as a driver and have to make sure the car is right."

Facing a challenge of another kind is Butch Leitzinger and Andy Wallace. They are competing this weekend both here and up in Quebec at the Six Hours of Circuit Mont Tremblant. "Basically, Andy and I are living the life of international jet setters," joked Butch. "A couple of times we looked at each other - here we are riding in this beautiful plane -- life is good! It is great fun and great that Rob and Chris Dyson have allowed us to do this and drive both races this weekend." Added Andy, "It makes us feel very important! We practiced at Tremblant yesterday, had a quick change of clothes, down to local airport by 4:30 and very nice flight back here. We practiced here today and than we fly back tonight for their Saturday race. And than we hop back on the plane and here for Sunday's race!"

Tomorrow's qualifying times will be available live on www.americanlemans.com at 2:55 Sunday's race broadcast will be shown live on CBS 1:00 - 3:00 PM ET
