The Racer's Group
Monterey Sports Car Championships
Friday combined and GT class practice sessions
GT Class-- No. 66 and 67

No. 66
Kevin Buckler--

"The car is unsettled, it's not gripping the way I would like it to. We're going to change some things around and work through it for tomorrow's session. I always love driving at my second home track and today is just a beautiful day in Monterey."

No. 66
Brian Cunningham--

"I was last here two years ago with BMW and we took second in class. It's a great track, but I'm driving with a BMW mind and I need to remember that I'm in a Porsche. There's a learning curve at every track, and this on is no different. It's a real driver's track. I love this place; the day couldn't be better."

Third in class
Quickest lap: 1:30.601

No. 67 Michael Schrom--

First impressions of Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca

"Wow, there's a lot to learn about this track! It's a lot to put together with the elevation changes. It's really difficult not to look around at the beautiful view. It's a matter of learning my way around, which I'm looking forward to."

No. 67
Vic Rice--

"I felt like I was in a dysfunctional marriage; the front wasn't communicating with the back. We started with understeer and are now battling oversteer. However, overall I'm happy, the car is in one piece and to me, that is a decent session."

Ninth in class
Quickest lap: 1:34.962
