Monterey, Calif. -- Everyone likes to end the season on a high note, and it's especially the case for B-K Motorsports. After its premature end to its Petit Le Mans weekend, drivers Ben Devlin and Gerardo Bonilla head to Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca confident of success in the California sun.

The Wisconsin-based team has worked around the clock repairing its brand-new Lola B08/86 Mazda MZR-R coupe following an incident in the warm-up at Road Atlanta nearly two weeks ago. With their unlucky break in the rear view mirror, Devlin, Bonilla and the entire Bob Bach-owned organization hope to deliver a solid result in the American Le Mans Series season-ending Monterey Sports Car Championships.

"Everyone at B-K Motorsports is looking forward to Mazda Raceway with a focus stronger than at any point this year," Bonilla says. "Our pace in the new Lola coupe at Road Atlanta was exceeding expectations leading up to the race. We've had such an outpouring of support from our partners at BP, Mazda, Dunlop, AER, Lola, and the many Mazda fans who come every race to see us. We're going to make them all proud this weekend."

The brand-new BP Lola Mazda coupe was an instant fan favorite at Road Atlanta, and sleek looking prototype even caught the eyes of many competitors. It will surely once again be the center of attention this weekend as the Dunlop-shod machine is poised to make its race debut.

"The 2008 season has presented us with many challenges," says John Doonan, manager, motorsports team development for Mazda North America. "The entire staff at B-K Motorsports has put in a stellar effort every single weekend and back at the shop between races. In fact, the kind of effort they have extended is 'championship level.'

"Unfortunately, luck has not been on our side very often," Doonan adds. "Despite the challenges, the team has put in another Herculean effort to prepare the car for the Mazda Raceway finale. We enter this weekend hoping for a solid run and a good result. There is no question in our minds that the team certainly deserves it."
