BOWMANVILLE, Canada (July 21, 2013) - Leh Keen and Townsend Bell drove the No. 23 Team West/Alex Job Racing/Boardwalk Ferrari to a seventh place finish in GT in today's American Le Mans Series Canadian Tire Motorsports Park Grand Prix of Mosport.

Bell (San Luis Obispo, Calif.) started the two-hour-and-forty-five-minute race in near perfect 75-degree weather conditions. The Californian was able to run as high as second before handing the 458 GT over to Keen (Charleston, SC) on lap 52. Keen had the No. 23 Team West/Alex Job Racing Ferrari running fast and consistent lap times throughout his stint. The team placed first behind the six factory cars in GT.

"The team really executed well today," Bell said. "The Team West/Alex Job Racing crew did a great job in the pits and with the car all weekend. It was nice to work with Leh. The car was good all day. We really didn't put a wheel wrong. We were very consistent. We weren't the fastest car, but that kind of effort will pay off when we are in a position to go and win one of these races."

Keen, who is filling for full-time driver Bill Sweedler (Westport, Conn.) will run again in the next event at Road America.

"It is a joy to drive a car that is fast and handles as well as the Ferrari," Keen said. "The factory guys are always going to be tough. We were the best of the GT privateers today. It was great to be back with the team and Alex. Townsend did a great job and we work well together. The Yokohama tires and the car really held up well all race. We are in the thick of it when it comes to handling, but we need a little more top-end speed to make things interesting with the factory cars. I am looking forward to Road America."

Eduardo Espindola, team co-owner, is happy with the effort today.

"Leh and Townsend did a great job on the track and the team performed well in the pits," Espindola said. "We had a good race car all day and ran fault free.

Alex Job, team co-owner, had a strong weekend with the Ferrari.

"It is hard to keep up with the dollar pace of the GT factory teams in ALMS," Job said. "We ran all we had today. Leh and Townsend did a strong job on the track and the crew had great pit stops. We are knocking on the door of the big teams in GT."

The American Le Mans Series will travel to Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin for the Orion Energy Systems 245 at Road America, Aug. 9-11.

Alex Job Racing is one of the most successful teams in sports car racing with 68 wins (since 1995); including two Rolex 24 GT Class wins in 1999 and 2013. This record is supported by 48 pole positions and 106 podium finishes. The team has won four championships (GTC 2012, GT in 2004, 2003 and 2002) complimented by their two GT class wins at Le Mans. The team also boasts nine Sebring 12-hour wins.

The ALMS GT Class is comprised of production-based, moderately-modified, two-wheel drive race cars including the BMW Z4, Corvette C6.R, Ferrari F458 GT, Viper SRT and Porsche 911 GT3 RSR. The GT cars share many similarities to their showroom brands. With top speeds of up to 180 mph, these elite GTs produce between 450-500 horsepower and have a minimum weight of 1,145 kilograms (2,480 pounds). All GT race cars have green Leader Light System race position lights and green car numbers.
