Sebring 12 Hours
HIGHCROFT'S SEBRING MISSION KICKS OFF TOMORROW
Track action for this week's Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring kicks off tomorrow as Highcroft Racing and a packed 56-car field launch preparations for the opening round of the American Le Mans Series and the Intercontinental Le Mans Cup.
Highcroft and the rest of the field will enjoy two (2) four-hour testing sessions tomorrow from 8:00am to 12:00noon and 1:00pm to 5:00pm.
Tomorrow's session will the first chance to compare the brand new HPD ARX-01e against the opposition.
Simon Pagenaud will join the testing program with his teammates David Brabham and Marino Franchitti who drove in Saturday's shakedown session.
The race livery for the #01 Highcroft machine will also hit the track for the first time in tomorrow's track action.
Testing continues on Tuesday but the cars will not be on track on Wednesday. Highcroft Racing's 10-day Sebring countdown continues to build towards the official start of the race meeting on Thursday.
Team boss Duncan Dayton is eagerly awaiting the chance to return to the LMP1 class with the new HPD machine.
"Our past success really comes down to the dedication and teamwork of the guys who work at Highcroft Racing and the incredible passion we all feel for the sport," said team boss Duncan Dayton (click the video banner above to view Dayton's Sebring preview and catch a behind-the-scenes glimpse of the preparation of the HPD ARX-01e)
"It is a lot of hard work, a lot of dedication and a lot of long hours. If people weren't as passionate about what we do we couldn't get the job done."
