Spencer Pumpelly turned in a 1:21.924 in the Venezuela / eSilicon No 45 Porsche 911 GT3 Cup car, which he will share in the race with Nelson Canache Jr. Seth will start the No 44 today, while Nelson will start in the No 45.

Dion saw improvement in the No 44 qualifying performance at this event, saying "The car was very good overall, and I think it's actually the best setup we've had for qualifying so far this year. We are continuing to improve little by little, and I think we have a good car for tomorrow, one in which Seth can go out and battle with everybody during his stint."

Spencer was focused on the big picture, adding "I'm content with third place in qualifying although my eye is really on the championship at this point in the season. We have a good starting position as does the No 44, and Nelson has been very quick at the track despite not having driven at this track before this weekend. Our focus has been on race setup over the past two days so we should be in good, competitive shape for tomorrow."
