Creation sign Harold Primat for US assault!

Harold Primat will contest the final two rounds of the American Le Mans Series, having agreed a deal to rejoin British squad Creation Autosportif.

The Geneva-based driver, who is currently racing in the Le Mans Series with frontrunners Pescarolo Sport, will return to Road Atlanta/Petit Le Mans and Laguna Seca, having scored a podium and a fourth place finish with Creation in the two events last season, and is aiming to challenge for honours again in the team's CA07-Judd.

He will be joined at the wheel by Creation regular Jamie Campbell-Walter and Frenchman Christophe Tinseau, with whom Harold has shared his Pescarolo-Judd 01 in the LMS this season.

"I'm delighted to be back racing with Creation," Primat said. "We had two good results together last season in the ALMS and I know the team are eager to repeat that by going to the US and challenging the works Audis and Porsches. I know Jamie well and Christophe and I have formed a good partnership at Pescarolo Sport this season. I think together we are a strong package."

The LMP1 Audis and LMP2 Porsches have been the class of the field in the ALMS this season, but Creation and Primat are determined to bring a genuine challenge to the manufacturer giants.

"It's going to be interesting," Harold said. "Obviously the Audis are always strong and the Porsches have made significant gains this year, but our aim is to go there and fight at the front. It's always good to race against works-backed teams, particularly of the magnitude of those two, and we will be looking to show that we are good enough to run with them."

Primat also revealed how much he was looking forward to returning to racing in the US. "I started my racing career in the States in US Formula Ford. I love the atmosphere over there. They make it a real show for the fans and the media coverage is excellent. I have a lot of friends in the ALMS paddock and I can't wait to go racing."

Creation Autosportif Team Manager Ian Bickerton said. "Petit Le Mans and Laguna Seca have, in the past, been the setting for some of our best performances. We love everything about racing in the American Le Mans Series, and I believe that we have once again put together a really strong driver line up for our 2007 appearances."

Primat will contest Petit Le Mans (6 October) and Laguna Seca (20 October) with Creation before returning to Pescarolo Sport for the final round of the Le Mans Series, the Mil Milhas in Brazil (11 November).

The races will all be shown LIVE on Motors TV. For full listings information visit www.motorstv.com.
