In their second full season operating under the BAR1 Motorsports banner, the two-car team will field Tomy Drissi and Rusty Mitchell in the No. 7 EPIC (the movie) prototype challenge ORECA FLM09 along with the No. 8 Evident Capital car, driven by Kyle Marcelli and Chris Cumming. The team currently sits third in the Team Championship points.

Known for it's winding elevation changes, the wicked fast 2.238 mile Mazda Raceway is a fan and driver favorite alike. The circuit offers a challenging variety of corners, none more challenging than the historic corkscrew.

Team owner, Brian Alder, looks forward to the race and is optimistic of the team's performance.

"We have a good set up for this track. I think we bring a lot of experience both in drivers and our crew. Kyle and Tomy have both enjoyed good runs at Laguna and they'll help bring their co-drivers up-to-speed quickly.

"The cars should perform well here. It's a track well-suited to prototype racing and is a welcome change after the tight punishing confines of Long Beach.

"We spent time going over the cars after Long Beach. The crew focused on making sure the cars were buttoned up and ready for the 4-hour run.

Event though the track is fairly smooth and easy on the cars… four hours is still a lot of wear and tear, especially given the traffic. But our guys have been putting well prepped cars on the grid all season. They'll be ready for Monterey."
