Sebring, Florida, Tuesday, March 14. The Audi Sport North America ALMS team took to the track in preparation for the Superflo 12-Hours of Sebring to be run on Saturday.

Posting competitive times all day, leading the Le Mans Prototype entries, the team is optimistic for the race. "We are doing our routine and getting the car setup for the race," said Allan McNish, Audi Sport North America driver. "We are focusing on long runs and how the car behaves, how the tires last and of course trying to get every bit out of the motor." When asked about how the R8 is faring against the competition, McNish replied, "it is difficult to know exactly what the other teams are doing, but so far we seem to have the measure of them, but tomorrow is the first qualifying session and we will get a better idea then."

The fast lap of the day was set by Audi's Tom Kristensen, a 1:50.04, in the heat of day at 3:00 p.m. The competition is coming from the BMW, with J.J. Lehto behind the wheel, running a best time of 1:51.02.
