Mattias Ekstrom retains DTM lead
DTM: The title decision in the 2007 DTM will only be made in the finale at Hockenheim on 14 October. 42,000 spectators at the Circuit de Catalunya near Barcelona (Spain) witnessed an excessively rough race in which one Audi driver after the other was bumped off the track by Mercedes drivers -- among them all four drivers of Audi Sport Team Abt Sportsline including the two candidates for the title, Mattias Ekstrom (Sweden) and Martin Tomczyk (Germany). When the situation threatened to escalate, Audi decided to withdraw all seven Audi A4 DTM cars that were still in the race.

DTM: Next weekend, the DTM will showcase itself to the fans at the World Cup of Surfing on the Sylt island. Among the guests will be the two Audi DTM stars Tom Kristensen and Mike Rockenfeller. On Saturday and Sunday, the spectators will also be able to see the S line Audi A4 DTM in action during pit-stop simulations.
Marco Werner has married
ALMS: Audi "factory" driver Marco Werner has married his long-standing partner Annett at Lake Constance on 15 September. There is, however, no time for a honeymoon: Last weekend, the triple Le Mans winner competed with an Audi quattro in a hill-climb for historical cars in Switzerland. Before departing for the American Le Mans Series race at Road Atlanta, Marco Werner will participate in an Audi Golf tournament.
