Current Grand-Am competitor Al Carter will co-drive with Frenchman Kevin Estre the No. 68 TRG B+ Foundation / Eagle Tech Sports Porsche 911 GT3 GTC in the 2013 Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring this week.

Kevin Estre finished 2nd in the 2012 Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup and won the 2012 Rookie of the Year title in the Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland. This event will mark Al Carter's first participation in the Sebring race and definitely another milestone in his racing career.

After competing earlier this year in the 51st running of the Rolex 24 At Daytona, Al Carter is expected to do well in Central Florida.

The 61st running of the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring Fueled by Fresh From Florida is set for Saturday, March 16.

The classic race run on Sebring's 3.74-mile circuit serves as the opening event of the 2013 American Le Mans Series presented by Tequila Patrón season. The 2012 season revealed Al Carter and put him on the map among the top North American endurance GT drivers of his generation. Last season, Carter visited the podium of three major races in three different series.

He finished 2nd in the World Challenge at Mid-Ohio with Fall-Line Motorsports, 2nd with TRG driving a Porsche in his first ever ALMS race at Mid-Ohio and won the GTC class of the ALMS Grand Prix of Baltimore, the first ever professional win of his career.

"I am excited to compete with TRG at the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring," announced Al Carter. "This race is one of the most recognized endurance races on the planet and I am proud to have been selected by the Racer's Group to co-drive the No. 68 B+ Foundation / Eagle Tech Sports Porsche in the GTC class.

This race will give us another opportunity to promote and increase awareness of The B+ Foundation. I am looking forward to competing for a top position and hopefully we can do as well as last year in Baltimore."

Carter currently competes with co-driver Hugh Plumb in the Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge series since 2010. In 2011 Carter scored one pole, one podium in Alabama and 2 top 5s, led 40 laps and finished 8th in the series.

In 2012 Carter and Plumb led the driver and team championships for a while and finished 5th in the team championship.

The event, which opens Wednesday, March 13, includes racing for six support classes, ALMS driver autograph session, tech talks with crew chiefs and engineers from leading teams, Gallery of Legends displaying cars from Sebring's past including the 1973 winning Porsche RSR, the Spring Break Party Zone, and a tribute to Audi.

The latter event will display four past Sebring-winning cars and host several former winning drivers.

The 61st running of the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring Fueled by Fresh From Florida can be seen on SPEED with live coverage beginning at 10:30 a.m. ET Saturday, March 16.
