Adam Khan confident of points score

Team Pakistan is set to start tomorrow's Sprint race from14th on the grid after a strong performance in qualifying. Having put in two good runs, his third try on new tyres was eight tenths of a second faster but a slow middle sector on his last segment didn't gain him the time he needed to move up the table.

While not having an event in Pakistan, Adam Khan is making the most of his second home here in China. At Shanghai International Circuit to see Adam race for the first time is his 'second' mother and long time family friend Madam Zhang, daughter of the former Mayor of Beijing, who has given Adam the Chinese name 'Li Sihan'.

Fluent in Mandarin, Adam is obviously at home here and has spent time signing autographs and chatting to the local spectators.

Adam Khan "I'm really looking forward to tomorrow. I've got the pace and am looking for points in the races. It was a shame I got caught out in the middle sector of my last try – if I'd done another time like session three I think I'd have been up around eighth. Tomorrow's what matters. I've shown that I always finish higher than I started and I know I've got the pace to overtake. The first race tomorrow counts - effectively it's qualifying for the 'big one'. "
