Wavin Ireland supports national team in A1GP, South Africa
Dublin, Ireland, 23 February 2007; Wavin Ireland will support A1 Team Ireland in this weekend's A1GP, Durban, South Africa as the Irish team battles for honours in the 7th round of the World Cup of Motorsport. Based in Balbriggan, Dublin, Wavin Ireland specialises in designing and manufacturing complete plastic systems for the building/construction industry, public utility organisations and statutory authorities. It is the largest manufacturer and distributor of pvc pipe systems in the country.
Wavin Ireland has been manufacturing in Ireland for almost 50 years. Its manufacturing facility is in Balbriggan, Co. Dublin and it also has distribution centres in Cork and Lisburn. The agreement with A1 Team Ireland, initially for this weekend only, will see Wavin Ireland's brand name displayed on the on the car, driver and team equipment.

The South African round of the A1GP series for grand prix style cars will be televised live on RTE2 between 12.55pm and 2.15pm on Sunday, A1 Team Ireland's lead driver Richard Lyons aiming for a top six finish. The team's weekend has started well, Lyons setting the 2nd fastest time in Friday practice.
