A1GP: Salaquarda to race the final
"Brands" will see the last event of the season and Filip Salaquarda has got the honour to represent the Czech team in the final round. The young Praguer entered the season in Mexico, later drove also in Chinese Shanghai and it is his turn no to close the third season of the World Cup of Motorsport. He knows the British track from the Euro Series F3 championship that raced there but it used only the short Indy configuration. He is going to discover the full version called Grand Prix.
The twenty four years old driver took part in the official International Formula Master test during the break between the A1GP events. In the I.S.R. prepared car he was among the fastest drivers during both days at Magny- Cours. He finished 10th overall after two days. The IFM championship will be his main focus in the summer season.
Filip Salaquarda: "Brands Hatch belongs to the classics tracks of the motorsport world. It won my heart quickly although I know only the shorter Indy version that we used for the Euro Series F3 races. I am looking forward to get to know the long version. It is a place that remembers Formula 1 Grand Prix or the sports prototype 1000 km races. It is simply a big piece of history. The qualifying is very important at Brands Hatch. The track is very narrow. I am still allowed to do to rookie practices, so hopefully we will have enough time to find the best possible setup."
