A1 TEAM MALAYSIA UNVEILS SECRET WEAPON
Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, 01 April 2007 -- A1 Team Malaysia today unveiled a radical new enhancement intended to ensure victory in the remaining events of the current A1GP season. The new components on the car have been designed to give that extra performance that the team has fought so hard to have throughout the season.
The enhancements are as the result of a collaboration with design team Patrick Stewart and Stephen Mellish, based on the west coast of Ireland. This little known duo are specialists in capturing elements of the environment and applying this to modern technological thinking,
During the month of March A1 Team Malaysia were introduced to these radical free thinkers and were impressed enough to decide to apply some of their technological applications to the A1GP race car.
Jack Cunningham, Chief Executive of A1 Team Malaysia said, "We were mightily impressed with the subtlety of the design. Within the rules of A1, there is very little room for the making of changes to the car so when we sat down to decide what we could do to get as many points as possible between now and the end of the season; it was only natural that we should consider Patrick and Stephen's suggestion. The rules and regulations, quite rightly, are very strict in A1GP so we are hoping that none of our closest competitors will notice our subtle changes as we line up on the grids in Shanghai and Brands Hatch. Fingers crossed anyway."
Owen Leed, Commercial Director of the team added, "Our wonderful supporters in Malaysia, fans and corporates alike, rely on us to be at the forefront of radical and creative thinking in everything that we do to find that "special edge" to not only win A1GP races, but also to ensure that we remain top of mind at all times. I believe that the team have done an outstanding job in this regard today."
