A1 Team China tests to be held in late August; Mainland, Hong Kong and Taipei drivers invited to take part

According to new from A1 Team China, 4 drivers will take part in a test at the A1 test sessions held at Silverstone. A1 Team China has already notified Wang Jian-Wei (Beijing), Ma Qing-Hua (Shanghai), Marchy Lee (Hong Kong SAR) and Hanss Lin (Chinese Taipei) to attend the tests.

A1 Team China's Li Chun-Wei said: "Although there will be three tests in the 2007-08 A1 GP season, only the August tests are open for rookies. The remaining test sessions are reserved for A1 Team China's no. 1 driver Franky Cheng."

Franky Cheng has already signed a contract with A1 Team China, but his British Formula 3 schedule will clash with A1 GP on more than one occasion. Therefore the August tests are for the search of a suitable replacement driver.

Each rookie will have more than 1 hour's driving time at Silverstone. Wang Jian-Wei, represented by Beijing NBCAR Co. Ltd, has already confirmed his participation. He is currently competing in the Formula Renault in China.
