After four days of testing behind the wheel of the Honda Civic in Valencia, Spain, Tiago Monteiro is ready and eager to resume the FIA World Touring Car Championship, WTCC. For the second consecutive year, Argentina will host a round ofthe FIA WTCC on the fast and technical. Termas Rio Hondo circuit, a layout that the Portuguese driver likes and has treated him quite well in the past.

The four days of testing allowed JAS Motorsport Honda to make several changes to the Honda Civic, mainly on the chassis, but also a few minor adjustments to the engine. Tiago thinks this change could enable him to meet the Argentine challenge at full speed. "The changes have been quite significant and they will run at full capacity up until the end of August, when we can once again perform tests to validate new settings. But we hope to be in good shape for racing on the Termas Rio Hondo circuit!" said the driver of the Honda Civic # 18.

Fast, technical, and with several blind corners and one long straight, Tiago Monteiro analyses the circuit Termas Rio Hondo: "The straights may be detrimental to our car, but we will try to compensate for this in part in the more technical sections where the Honda should be very agile. This is not an easy track, but last year everything ran smoothly ... scoring points is always our priority, as well as keeping our 4th place in the championship," concluded Tiago, who is currently the highest ranked non Citroen driver in the championship.

Qualifying and both races from Termas Rio Hondo will be broadcasted live by Eurosport, on Saturday the 2nd and Sunday the 3rd of August, at 19h and 18h respectively.
