From November 15th to 17th, Tiago Monteiro will compete with his rivals in the FIA World Touring Car Championship, WTCC on the legendary Guia circuit in Macau. Spurred on by his victory in China, the official Honda driver discusses the season finale and how he is more motivated than ever on a circuit where he finished on the podium in both 2010 and 2012.

All drivers are aiming to end the season on a high note on the streets of Macau and Tiago is no exception. The Portuguese driver of the Honda Civic # 18 does not lose sight of the fact that racing at Guia, "is like playing the lottery! Luck often plays a factor for the winner because it is a street circuit where anything can happen and where mistakes can be extremely expensive. This is a weekend that is not like the others, it is in a unique environment that motivates all drivers," explained Tiago.

Last year in Macau, Honda recorded the first podium of their FIA WTCC history with Tiago Monteiro behind the wheel and he will never forget this historic feat... "We remember that last year the Honda Civic was just at the beginning of its WTCC life and it recorded its first podium on this demanding circuit and how fabulous that was. This year, after a season of hard work, we have great ambitions. However, we will be competing with added weight and it will be the highest possible."

Despite this Tiago Monteiro is still confident of finishing the season with a good result. "I would like to be back on the podium. It would be a good conclusion and well deserved after all our hard work throughout the season," concluded Tiago.

The FIA WTCC finale will be broadcasted live on Eurosport. Qualifying will take place on Friday, November 15th at 7:30 am with both races on Sunday, November 17th at 3 and 4 am.
