Last week, Tiago Monteiro was in Japan for one of the annual events on car maker Honda's calendar: Honda Thanks Day, a unique celebration with many fascinating incentives for motorsport enthusiasts and Honda employees.

Tiago Monteiro, Gabriele Tarquini and Marc Marquez, were the only European drivers/rider invited to this celebration that joins together more than 20,000 fans and Honda owners from around the world.

In addition to the usual press conference, autograph session, talk shows and VIP and Mini Racing Tours, fans had the opportunity to see historic cars like the McLaren MP4 of Ayrton Senna and Gerhard Berger, or the last Super GT, the Honda HSV10.

Tiago Monteiro thanked Honda for his invitation to participate in this annual event for the second consecutive year. "It is a great honor and a privilege to be part of the Honda family and to have the opportunity to participate in an event that has such a global impact," said the Portuguese racer.

At the end of the 2013 season, Tiago finds himself actively involved in several tasks ahead of 2014, but it won't be until January that he will take to the wheel of the new Honda Civic for the first round of testing.
