GOLDEN MOTORS TO RACE IN FIVE ROUNDS

Golden Motors Honda Dealer Team, from St. Petersburg, Russia officially announced their plans for the 2008 racing season. They will start in the Swedish Touring Car Championship to continue in the FIA WTCC and finish in the FIA European Touring Car Cup with two Honda Accord Euro R cars, built by JAS Motorsport and run by the Estonian team Artman Racing.

The team's two drivers - Alexander Lvov and Andrey Smetsky - who were classified first and second in the 2007 Russian Touring Car Championship - will make their seasonal debut in the STCC at Knutstorp.

Golden Motors who took part in last year's WTCC event at Anderstorp have planned to take part in five events of the 2008 season - Valencia, Brno, Oschesleben, Anderstorp, and Monza - before heading to the Austrian Salzburgring for the European Touring Car Cup.

POULSEN MOTORSPORT TO JOIN IN THREE EVENTS

Denmark-based Poulsen Motorsport confirmed their plans to enter three races of the 2008 FIA WTCC.

"We have planned to enter in Estoril, Brands Hatch and Oschersleben," said team manager Niels Jørgen Iversen. "The last of these three events is quite close to the Danish Touring Car Championship race at Sturup, but we should manage it anyway, as the way back from Oschersleben is not that long."

The team has five BMW 320si cars and so far only three drivers have been confirmed: Kristian Poulsen, the winner of the 2007 European Touring Car Cup Michel Nykjær and Jesper Sylvest. "We are still working on a deal with Emmet O'Brien, maybe just for the WTCC races," Iversen revealed.
