SEAT Sport hungry for another win in Mexico

At the halfway point in the 2006 FIA World Touring Car Championship, SEAT Sport leads the Manufacturers' series, while 4 of the top 5 places in the Drivers' Championship are held by SEAT Sport drivers. The last two races -- at Curitiba in Brazil -- saw Jordi Gene and Peter Terting claim a terrific 1-2 for the team and, with the next pair of races also being held on the other side of the Atlantic, confidence is high that the team can repeat that result at Puebla in Mexico on July 30th.

Last year, Puebla was the setting for Terting's first victory for SEAT Sport and the young German driver became a firm favourite with the Mexican fans. Both Jordi and Peter will fly out to Mexico a few days before the rest of the team to meet the local press, with Peter's Spanish lessons hopefully standing him in good stead! One topic of conversation will, no doubt, be the Puebla track itself; a number of changes have been made to the circuit layout for this year, with the WTCC cars now using both of the banked sections of the "oval" and the lap distance increased to 3.36km.
