(25 April 2013, Hong Kong, China) ROAL Motorsport driver Darryl O’Young is looking to continue his impressive form this season thus far, when he returns to the track this weekend for the third race of the 2013 World Touring Car Championship (WTCC) season.

It’s been three weeks since the last WTCC race was held in Morocco, but the Hong Kong top car racer has been competing to keep his form, and the 33-year-old has scored an overall P4 in one of the races at the Porsche Carrera Cup as a guest driver, held during the Shanghai Grand Prix a fortnight ago.

“I have full confidence that ROAL Motorsport will give me the car I need to fight for the win, so it is all about getting the maximum performance out of myself this weekend. I will have my full focus on WTCC these next two weekends and anything less than a strong performance will be disappointing,” said a confident O’Young.

Having scored in each of his four outings this season, the in-form O’Young is targeting to extend his scoring streak to six rounds upon the conclusion of the Race of Slovakia, something he has yet to do in his WTCC career. One good omen is great results from last season, Darryl managed two overall top ten finishes on the Slovakia Ring in 2012.

Adding to his advantage will be the reduction in weight of his BMW 320 TC, that after the Federation of Internationale de I’Automobile (FIA) has allowed the BMW to be one of the two cars to run at a minimum weight of 1,130 kilograms, 60 short of the heaviest car on the track, the Chevrolet Cruze.

The Slovakia Ring is 5.922 kilometers long, drivers will compete on this four-year-old track for two 10-lap races.
