Muennich Motorsport two times in the points ranking of the WTCC on the Salzburgring

Friedersdorf/Salzburg (rol/ot) The German Team ALL-INKL.COM Muennich Motorsport from Friedersdorf scored two points rankings last weekend (18th/19th of May) at the fifth season event of the FIA World Touring Car Championship (WTCC) with the races nine and ten on the Salzburgring.
Team principal René Münnich (both Neusalza-Spremberg) finished on 17 and 18 and gathered points again for the Yokohama Drivers' Trophy, where he is on position twelve. Rob Huff is on position five of the championship driver’s ranking now, Marc Basseng dropped to position 13. The Team ALL-INKL.COM Muennich Motorsport kept his third position of the Yokohama Teams' Trophy.
Winners of the races on the Salzburgring have been the Dane Michel Nykjaer and the British James Nash (both Chevrolet Cruze). Twelve drivers got penalties and were relegated in the starter field before the first race by the stewards for slow driving during the second Qualifying – in between them also Rob Huff (third position actually).
But he was able to make his way up to position eight coming from 14. René Münnich got his first starting position in between the top ten on position ten because of the penalties for the other drivers.
Marc Basseng, starting from position seven, was hit by a combatant right after the start and fell back to position 13. After the half of the race he fell back to the end of the field because of technical problems and had to stable his Seat two laps before the end of the race.
"I had problems with the suspension and a tire dangled", the team manager explained. Things worked out better for him at the second race when he made his way up to position eleven coming from 16.
Right after the second WTCC race, Marc Basseng set out for the Nürburgring by plane to take the next challenge in an Audi at the ADAC Zurich 24 hour race on the Nordschleife. Rob Huff had an additional task on the Salzburgring. He commented out of his car for television and explained the track to the viewers at both warm-up laps.
