In front of an estimated crowd of 50,000, the SEAT Sport team claimed a pair of 3rd places to score more useful points in the FIA World Touring Car Championship. In an amazing display of consistency, 5 of the top 7 places in both races were taken by a SEAT Sport Leon.

Starting from pole position, Gabriele Tarquini -- just as he'd predicted -- was passed by the BMW of Jorg Muller as the field headed for the first corner. Dirk Muller in another BMW also got past the SEAT Leon in the sprint away from the start line, with Rickard Rydell also passing Tarquini to end lap 1 in 3rd place.

For the remaining laps, 5 of the 6 SEAT Sport cars ran in a procession, with Rydell ahead of Tarquini, then Jordi Gene, Peter Terting and James Thompson filling 5th, 6th and 7th places respectively. The race was almost incident-free, and so that's how they finished.
