Friedersdorf/Suzuka (rol/ot) Great performance in Japan: The German Team ALL-INKL.COM Münnich Motorsport from Friedersdorf reached the aimed for point rankings again this weekend (21st /22nd of September) at the tenth season event of the FIA World Touring Car Championship (WTCC) on the traditional track in Suzuka.

The British Rob Huff in the Seat Léon with starting number 1 finished seventh and eighth at the season runs 19 and 20. Marc Basseng (#38) finished two times on position nine, but lost one position again due to a 30 seconds penalty at the second run and is now 17th.

The team principal René Münnich (#37, both Neusalza-Spremberg) finished 16 th and 15th (14th after penalty for Basseng).

The owner of the racing stable from Saxony got points in both races for the private drivers ranking (Yokohama Drivers' Trophy), where he on position 13 at the moment. At the team world championship (Yokohama Teams' Trophy) the Team ALL-INKL.COM Münnich Motorsport assured the third position. The Hungarian Norbert Michelisz (Honda Civic) won race 19 on the 2.243 km long Suzuka Circuit East and took the sixth position of Rob Huff at the drivers ranking. The Same time the French Yvan Muller (Chevrolet Cruze) scored his fourth title at the Touring Car World Championship early on position three. In run 20, which was the 200th race of the WTCC, the Netherland Tom Coronel (BMW 320 TC) finished first.

And during this season run 20 there were dramatic fights and overtaking manoeuvres until the finish line, where the Münnich pilots muscled in. Rob Huff made his way up to position seven before he lost one position again. Marc Basseng has not been in the points ranking on position eleven at the start of the last lap, but then finished on position nine. Certainly he got a penalty for his overtaking manoeuvre right before the end of the race. "I think this penalty was not appropriate. I have been pushed from behind myself", Basseng said, who is on overall position 13 in the drivers ranking.

"Altogether we can be satisfied with the races in Suzuka, because we reached our goal to get point rankings. More was just not possible with the Seat“, Marc Basseng explained, who is the team manager same time. "We were able to keep up with our combatants speed during the race, but we were slower at the Qualifying.“ So Huff started on position 11 at the first race, Basseng on 14 and Münnich on 20, but they all were able to make up several positions.

And they accomplished the same at the second race as well. Team principal René Münnich, who had super speed and wasn’t inferior to his team colleagues, was happy in the end: "I am very happy, because the performance in this race was really good. Now we look forward to the second to last season event Shanghai." And this event is scheduled for 2nd/3 rd of November after the autumn break.
