James Nash visits MK Lightning Ice Hockey

The Bamboo Engineering driver was on hand to support his local team.

As a local supporter of the team, Nash was invited as a ‘special guest’ to perform a traditional puck drop before the start of their game between the Swindon Wildcats before James went to Monza. With ice hockey being one of the fastest paced sports in the world Nash was looking forward to working alongside another speedy talent in his hometown.

After attending the game taking part in a puck shoot out, being interviewed for Lightning TV and watching MK Lightning thrash their opponents ten goals to two, Nash was invited back to a training session to be presented with an official team shirt.

James Nash – “The puck drop was a great opportunity for me to show my support for a local and talented team. With such a busy schedule it was difficult for me to be able to attend any games throughout the season, so it was great that I was able to attend they invited me as a special guest to puck drop for their home game. It was good to see first-hand just how much support they get as a team and the talent on the ice is quite incredible!

I’m looking forward to working with them again in the near future, they’re a great team and I’m proud to be associated with them.”

Currently sitting fourth in the league table, just one point behind third place, MK Lightning have all to play for in their up and coming games against Slough Jets this weekend.

The second round of WTCC will take place in Marrakech, Morocco on the 6th and 7th April.
