TARQUINI AND MULLER SCORE POINTS IN BOTH RACES FOR SEAT SPORT
SEAT achieves the best result possible in Curitiba

SEAT Sport achieved the best result possible at Curitiba, by scoring points in both opening rounds of the 2007 FIA World Touring Car Championship. The SEAT León was consistently the top front-wheel drive car racing in Brazil this weekend, but the current regulations enabled BMW to dominate by scoring a 1-2-3 result in both races.

SEAT Sport drivers - Gabriele Tarquini in Race 1 and Yvan Muller in Race 2 - finished next-best in 4th position both times. It was a particularly good weekend for Gabriele, as he finished 5th in Race 2 as well, to leave Brazil with nine points and 4th in the Championship.

A big crowd - 33,000 on race day and 45,000 over the race weekend - enjoyed two spectacular races, in which a quarter of the 20 car field failed to finish. Both races were held in very humid and dry conditions, with the expected heavy rain only arriving two hours after the last race.
