PERFECT TESTING DAYS FOR THE CRUZE AT MAGNY-COURS
Rob Huff Continued Development Work Ahead Of Oschersleben And Imola WTCC Rounds

MAGNY-COURS, 21st August 2009 -- The testing and development programme of the Chevrolet Cruze WTCC continues apace. After the testing session at Zolder earlier this month, the team was at Magny-Cours this week for more testing. This time, Rob Huff performed the driving duties, which were aimed at further fine-tuning the set-ups and the balance of the Cruze.

Magny-Cours, with its succession of fast and low corners and chicanes, is an ideal track to prepare the forthcoming events in Oschersleben and Imola, two circuits with similar characteristics.

The team carried out the entire foreseen work programme without any trouble, and both Rob and the engineers were very satisfied with the indications gathered.

* QUOTES

Rob Huff: "We really made the best possible use of this 600-km test and I am very happy with the balance of the car. The Cruze was easy to drive and was very good exiting the corners. Magny-Cours is quite a demanding circuit for front-wheel drive cars, a track where you brake very deep into the corners and where you have to use the kerbs almost systematically, so this will be very useful for Oschersleben and Imola, which have a similar configuration. It was very hot and humid in France, with temperatures over 35o. (Celsius), and it was good to see the car did perform perfectly in such conditions, which we may encounter in September in Germany and Italy as well".
