BMW Team-Italy Spain aiming at Brno's podium

13/06/2007 - Leaving at its back all Pau's city traps, the World Touring Car Championship moves to Brno for the Czech Republic round of the season.

On this very track, Alessandro Zanardi ended race one in second position last year, after the third place in qualify. On this basis BMW Team Italy-Spain men hope to repeat, if not improve, what harvested in 2006.

The weekend program schedules official qualify for Saturday at 15, while on Sunday the two races will begin at 12.05 and 15.35 respectively. As usual, the event will be broadcast live by Eurosport and the live streaming will be on the www.fiawtcc.com website.

Umberto Grano (Project Manager)
"All contingencies that affected our cars during latest rounds suggest me to be prudent in the pronouncements of an historically favourable race for our team.

For good luck, this time I prefer speaking of results only during post-race comments."

Roberto Ravaglia (Team Manager)
"I personally looked after the shakedown of Porteiro's car at Adria while Zanardi verified that everything was all right on his 320si.

We have always been competitive at Brno and both our cars will ballast free too this time. We have all what it gets to fight for the first place of the podium."
