Endurance-Info is reporting that the reigning World GT1 champions All Inkl Münnich Motorsport will be taking up a new challenge next year going from GT racing to the WTCC. The team led by René Münnich will be going from one FIA world championship to another, entering several Seat Leon cars. Regular driver Marc Basseng could continue on with All Inkl Münnich in 2013, and driver/owner René Münnich took part in the Suzuka round of the WTCC last month in order to get a taste of the WTCC action.
Therefore, the new Sprint Series put in place by Stéphane Ratel Organisation (SRO) for 2013 will be without the German team. The Mercedes SLS AMG GT3 used by the team will nevertheless not be wasted for the time being as All Inkl Münnich plans on participating in GT one last time in the 24 Hours of Dubai next January with one car.
