WHAT A SAUNA!

In the last two days I had a really good sauna!

Jokes apart, in reality I had two testing days at Vallelunga, near Rome, but due to the hot weather the result was not that different. Anyway, things went pretty well. We were just four on the track: my team-mate Hernandez, myself and the duo of BMW Germany Muller-Farfus, that are a really good reference.

I am not gonna tell you that we magically found "half-seconds" here and there, but I think it fair to say that we worked well and that we got a lot of information from this test that will give in the future more room for improvement towards the possible balancing problems that we unavoidably will encounter in the coming races. Moreover, time-sheets in hand, I have been on the same lap times of my fast mates of Team Germany both on new and user tyres and is much comforting.

Unfortunately, Hernandez did not feel well due to a kind of a flu and he had to stop his tests two hours in advance. Obviously he could not shine on time sheets but I am pretty sure that, once recovered, he will be one to keep an eye on at Brno. In fact, on the Czech track our team has always lined up a very strong car and after these tests I am even more hopeful.

At Vallelunga I also found some time to run some kilometres with the "Evro", on Sunday 14 I will take part to the Italian chrono Championship for this category.

I do not have any particular hope, since I am aware I am going in the "wolf hut" since athletes taking part to this kind of races are going to be strong and well prepared but I am curious to compare my level against theirs, well aware that if one day I will really want to compete for important positions, I would have to spend the time that today I do not have for preparing myself for it.

Certainly I will not sweat a lot since I got rid of all the liquids in excess at Vallelunga due to the boiling hot temperature in the cockpit.

Jokes apart, I will let you know how things went. For the time being I send you my greetings, talk to you on Monday. Ciaooooo
