Panting ...but hopeful!

Hi Friends,

Coming back from four testing days at Estoril, BMW trucks are heading to Spain and precisely to Valencia. In fact, on the next 3-4-5 of February we will be at the Spanish circuit trying to "tune" further our "instrument" in sight of the first race at Curitiba. By the way, the mentioned "instrument" will be for the first time the 2008 car (as you may remember, last time I used the old car).

Things will not be easy first because the tarmac of the Spanish track is very different from that of the Brazilian one and second, to be honest, because the outcome of Portuguese tests showed that we have some ground to regain from our German and English "cousins".

Anyway, we need to be realistic and the trend of these first tests just reflects last season, whereby we got by but we were not really brilliant. This does not mean at all that we are showing the white flag. On the contrary, I can't wait to try the setup solutions that my new technician Pietro Speronello and I devised on the basis of data harvested in Portugal.

Finally, my handbike training is going well and all the members of the team are already involved a lot because every other day I ask them to make some technical change on the bike.

Stay tuned. Ciao!
