Tiago Monteiro highlighted in the international press
Portuguese driver given a good rating in Autosport (GB)
The Vice-Champion of the World Series by Nissan, Tiago Monteiro, was mentioned once again in the British magazine AUTOSPORT as one of the best drivers in the world who took part this year in the top category championships. He was fifth.
This ranking analyse the performance of 150 drivers who took part this season in the main competitions which act as the breeding ground for the Formula 1: the World Series by Nissan, the Formula 3000 International Championship, Euro F.3000, Nippon F.3000, Infiniti Pro Series and the Formula Atlantic. Tiago Monteiro scored five victories in the World Series and was the best Rookie.
Tiago Monteiro commented: "I am very happy to be amongst the five best drivers in the world in the Formulas close to the F.1, like the F.3000, the WSN, Formula Atlantic and others. It shows that they were watching my season, and that my option for the World Series with Carlin Motorsport was the right one. The English magazine Autosport is one of the most prestigious magazines in motor racing in the world, so their analysis is highly important for my career".
