The two Friday's Free Practice sessions gave the team the opportunity to carry out a fruitful setup work in both wet and dry conditions, trying many different solutions on the cars driven by Sergey Sirortkin and Christopher Zanella.

Rain and fog gave teams a cold welcome in the morning (the start of the activities was delayed by one hour because of that), and that meant that the track was very wet in the first hour of running.

In such conditions, Sirotkin closed the session in 7th place, while Zanella finished in P20 after an early spin.In the afternoon the rain stopped and a dry line emerged just in time for the second practice session: the cars were sent out on slick rubber, but as weather conditions seemed still very changeable the team didn't opt for a full dry setting.

In those conditions, Sirotkin was 13th at the end of FP2, while Zanella finished in 22nd place.mThe team is now ready to tackle Qualifying 1, tomorrow morning at 9.50, and then

Race 1, starting in the afternoon at 2 o'clock.

Sergey Sirotkin (FP1 - P7; FP2 - P13): "Today was a good day for me. I didn't have much experience in Spa as I drove around here just once with the F.Abarth, but despite that I quickly found the right feeling. In the morning I was competitive in the wet, and in the afternoon I didn't have the right setup solution to fight with at the top, as my car was hitting the limiter too early in the hi-speed sections. So, everything considered, I think that tomorrow we will be challenging for a very good result".

Christopher Zanella (FP1 - P20; FP2 - P22): "Looking at the timesheets it wouldn't seem such a good day, but I'm quite satisfied with it. This morning in the wet session I didn't do many laps because I spun early, but despite that my sector times were good. In the afternoon I didn't manage to put a perfect lap together, but the potential was good. Furthermore, there is still something that we can improve on the car, and the team is already working in that direction."
