Monza: The resume
In the first race Tuka started in a great eleventh position. Already at the start of the race Burgueno and Kovallainen had to retire. Tuka Rocha took advantage of the situation and finished in an excellent sixth position. His Austrian team mate Norbert Siedler also pushed hard and succeeded to make up ten positions. He started in position 20 and was fighting for position ten. But from Siedler's accident in yesterday's first Qualifying a problem with the brakes was left. It is known, that the brakes on this fast circuit of Monza are overstrained a lot. Because of the brake problem, Siedler had to retire.
Race engineer Harvey Spencer: "We tried to sort out the problem with the brakes for the second race, but we realized, that it didn't work out." In the second race the young Austrian started from position 22 and everything looked like he would finish the race in position eleven. But from lap to lap the brakes got weaker. After a good pit stop and a few laps before the end of race two, Siedler had to retire again.
His Brazilian team mate Tuka Rocha had good chances to finish the second race on the podium. After yesterday's second Qualifying he was up the grid in position eight. But already in the first lap, in the first chicane he lost his back wheel. The reason for this is still unknown. For the Superfund Zele-Racing team the race was finished with a bitter-sweet aftertaste. Some comfort are Tuka Rocha's six points of the first race. It is still unsure, if the young and talented Brazilian driver will be able to participate in the next races of the Superfund World Series.
