Gene: "To race in the World Series has been decisive for the achieved 5th position in the last F-1 Grand Prix in Monza".
Alzira, September 16th 2003 - The Spanish driver Marc Gene will no longer participate in the Superfund World Series by Nissan races, and he will be concentrating only in his activity as a test and reserve driver in Formula One. During the current Season he's been trying to harmonise his task as a test driver in the BMW.WilliamsF1 team with his presence in the Superfund World Series by Nissan within the Spanish squad Adrian Campos Motorsport, the team that saw him became the winner of the Formula Nissan Series in 1998.
Adrian Campos understands and supports the decision taken by the Spanish driver: "I'm sure that Marc could fight for the podium in this Series if he would not had spent so much effort and time in Formula One. Being the single test driver in WilliamsF1 has left him with very few opportunities to test with us. Sometimes he even arrived to the track the same Saturday, directly for the Qualifying Sessions."
Marc Gene: "Working with all the members of the Team Adrian Campos Motorsport has been a fantastic experience. Thanks to them I have stepped at the top of the podium and to keep enjoying competition. I'm glad that I decided to enter in the World Series because I do believe that the experience that I have achieved benefit the result I took recently in the last G.P. in Monza."
It has been a great satisfaction for the Adrian Campos Motorsport Team to count with a driver with such a professional and personal value as Marc Gene.
