ISR Racing scores pole, podium finish

ISR Racing experienced another great weekend start at Magny-Cours, in the fifth round of the 2010 World Series by Renault. The Czech squad, managed by Igor Salaquarda, scored its third straight pole position thanks to the effort of Esteban Guerrieri. The Argentinean, took his first pole of 2010, after the two clocked by Filip Salaquarda in the last couple of rounds.

The ISR Racing domination was then confirmed on Race 1. Guerrieri started well, and held the lead strong over Aleshin. Unfortunately, he had to settle for 2nd at lap 13, as he let the Russian go. Salaquarda spun during the early stages, but was then hit by Kunimoto, ending up in 15th. Following today's podium spot, Guerrieri continued to climb up in standings, as he hit 2nd place. He's now trailing leader Aleshin by 10 points.

Igor Salaquarda - Team Principal
"We've been among the leaders once again. Guerrieri has been fantastic in Qualifying, as he clocked the pole position at the last second. Filip took 7th place, but it could have been better without a small mistake. On Race 1, Esteban brought home a really positive second-place finish thanks to an impressive showing despite some huge weather issues. He's now second in standings and... the dream goes on. Filip spun early but he recovered great, then he was hit by another car. He'll fight back tomorrow..."

Esteban Guerrieri
"It's been one of the hardest race of my entire life. It wasn't easy to control the car, and I gave all of myself. We struggled with our set-up, which wasn't perfect with this type of weather. In spite of everything, we ended up in second, giving further proof of the car's potential."

Filip Salaquarda
"In qualifying I made a small mistake, while I could have started at least in 3rd. During the race I spun immediately, my fault, and then when I was recovering really hard Kunimoto hit me..."
