Magny-Cours Race 1: good recovery for Berthon
Adverse weather and slippery track have characterized the french weekend for the World Series Renault engaged in the 5th meeting of the championship.
This morning there were qualifying with overcast skies and light rain in the end, which is then immediately increased during the early afternoon. Much traffic on track, because all drivers have tried the fast lap before the advent of the storm. Therefore it was difficult to find the right conditions to push and make a great record time. The Draco driver Nathanael Berthon starts from the 7th row, and his teammate Leal from the 8th row, but immediately of the start of race 1, exceptionally at 15.00, the French won 4 positions with a series of overtakings and he was 9th, struggling to eighth place. Not lucky Leal who turns after the start due to a very slippery track conditions and then he lost several positions; he tries to recover during the race, but he go out to 10 minutes from the finish. Tomorrow the second qualifying scheduled at 9.15 and Race 2 at 13.00.
