Enrico Toccacelo, Antonio García and Pablo Donoso will participate in the
two final races of the World Series by Nissan
Montagny, Alvarez and Del Pino have taken the championships, but the second and third position still open.
Teams to test in Madrid until tomorrow in order to prepare meeting
Madrid, 20 November 2003 - The Circuit of El Jarama will held next weekend the closing meeting from the Superfund World Series by Nissan. A unique motor racing Series in Europe, packing almost 60 drivers in all three single-seater categories: World Series by Nissan (450 HP), World Series Light (250 HP) and Formula Junior Spanish Championship (125 Hp).
After the quick-off of the second edition in Madrid (Spain), the Superfund World Series by Nissan had visited other countries in Europe like Belgium, France, Italy, Germany and Austria, and it had been TV broadcasted in more than 77 countries. The Final Meeting of all three categories will take place again in Madrid.
The Spanish driver Antonio García will replace Perez-Aicart in Adrian Campos Motorsport. García has participated in the ETCC Championship with BMW combining this task with some drives as a tester in ACM. Originally from Madrid, the 22-year old driver was the winner of the Formula Nissan in 2000, after sharing the team with his friend Fernando Alonso (winner in 1999) and previously in 1998 with Marc Gené.
Two new drivers will complete the list of 19 entered drivers for this Final Meeting. Former FIA F3000 participant, Enrico Toccacelo, will race for the Italian-based squad GD Racing. Pablo Donoso makes the big step entering with RC Motorsport. The young Chili driver has demonstrated to be one of the fastest drivers in the new category World Series Light.
Both Donoso and Toccacelo are testing until tomorrow in Jarama with their respective Teams.
Franck Montagny is a happy man, After taking championship in Barcelona; the Freurs driver will start next week his new testing role in RenaultF1. Therefore, he will have to miss the Free Practice on Friday. But as the rest of the driver, today and tomorrow he will participate in the private test at Jarama.
Besides World Series by Nissan, the World Series Light and the Formula Junior Championship, with Juan Alvarez (Meycom-Reyco) and Juan Antonio del Pino (G-Tec) recently crowned as the 2003 Champions, two thrilling races for each category will decide the rest.
Paul Meijer (18) will make his debut with Vergani Formula in the WSL. The Benelux Formula Renault. Champ recently beat the lap record in Albacete during the 2004 Rookie Test.
The Spanish Formula Junior Championship will also be animated with the appearance of the French driver Kevin Mathews in G-TEC.
