After a lengthy break in the race calendar, due to the exclusion of the Istanbul event, the World Series by Renault returns to the track this weekend and James Walker is itching to get back behind the wheel. It is almost unheard of to have such a long break in a championship so James has been working hard, and training even harder, to make sure he maintains his focus.

Rounds six and seven of the 2007 World Series by Renault take place at the Hungaroring, home of the Hungarian F1 Grand Prix, on the outskirts of the beautiful city of Budapest. This will be James' first visit to Budapest so the test day on Thursday will provide him with a great opportunity to learn all the nuances of the Hungaroring. The track is tight, twisty and notoriously dusty, due to its situation in a natural amphitheatre, and the soaring mid-European temperatures make it a physically tough event. It's important to get on the pace quickly at the Hungaroring; it's hard to overtake there so a good qualifying spot is crucial.

"It has been very important for me to stay focused during the break," said James. "My training sessions have gone well but there is a limit to what you can do out of the car. The team and I can't wait to get back on it now. Although I've never been to the Hungaroring I'm looking forward to racing there; it looks challenging both from a technical point of view and, of course, physically. I need to score points this weekend. Our results so far haven't shown our true pace so we will be working to put that right in Budapest."

Racing gets underway on Saturday at 1455hrs, with race two starting on Sunday at 1300hrs. Many Hungarian Formula One races have developed into real ding-dong battles, so let's see what the World Series boys can do!
