A sunny and warm day with a dry track today welcomed the Draco Team and the other teams of the World Series Renault 3.5 on the Paul Ricard circuit in Le Castellet, France, for the last session of collective tests that engaged the teams for all March, in preparation for the start of the season the 17 April.
This morning the drivers went to the track with good times. Stéphane Richelmi made 38 laps with a best time of 1'51"298, ranking 7th in the overall standings. André Negrao has covered 42 laps with a best time of 1'51" 525, 12th in the standings.
In the afternoon the team tried different set-ups and the drivers were for long time inside the pits for the technical test, then focusing at the work on the distance.
The three sessions of collective tests in three different circuits (Motorland, Montmelo, Paul Ricard) have allowed the Draco drivers, both very young and rookie in the league, to know more about the car, trying on track different set-ups with different climatic conditions which have changed considerably each time the driving techniques.
The knowledge gained during tests will certainly be very useful to both Draco drivers who now are concentrated on the first race in the circuit of Alcaniz.
