Definite the new Draco Drivers 2010 with the entry of Omar Julian Leal

Born in 1990 in Bucaramanga in Colombia, Julian Leal has always stood out for his talent and his determination, first in his country and then in Europe.

Leal began his racing career in 2006 in Formula Renault 2.0 series PanamGP winning 2 podiums and finishing 9th. The following season he moved to Europe to compete in the Euroseries 3000 championship with the Italian team Durango, winning the 9th place in the Euroseries championship and the 11th in the Italian Formula 3000. In 2008 he continued in the Euroseries championship finishing 6th after securing 4 podiums and in September he won the Italian Formula 3000 championship in Misano. In 2009 there was the shift in the World Series by Renault 3.5. In November Leal tested with Draco and with other teams in the preseason testing and then he was chosen by Prema. In his first season he won the podium at the Hungaroring race and he has known the car and circuits.

In the 2010 season Julian Leal will be officially a Draco Driver paired with the French Berthon.

Omar Julian Leal, Draco Driver 2010:

"I am really very happy to have received from Draco the opportunity to compete with them next season WSR and I thank Adriano and Nadia Morini for this occasion. They deservedly won the Championship and I am in my second year in this category so I want to capitalize on the experience I gathered in this season and at the same time I will use all the weapons that a team like Draco can offer me. I am very motivated and I will give my best to achieve the aims I have set, I point in all the races for the positions that really matter. After my first season in a well fought and professional category as the WSR and waiting for the new one, I thank first of all my father and my entire family to their support, my manager and especially my sponsors without whom none of this would be possible. Finally, once again my new team because it is an honor for me to be a Draco Driver. I hope to repay their expectations."

Nadia Morini, Team Manager Draco:

"The decision to take Julian Leal was very well contemplated. We did a test with him in 2008 but he could not be taken immediately in Draco because he had a lot of pressure and so we thought that we had not yet the right time. We have followed him during the year and in the mid-season he's improved a lot, so we thought that we could have good results working together. Certainly we expect that Leal will be up to expectations, he knows that we have to work a lot. Since we decide to take a driver, we always know that we must aim towards the best result and it will be what we will do this year with all our might."
